Is not guaranteed if you choose Berkley Piano by Russell Berkley. You may get specialized piano care in San Diego, but it is not guaranteed to come with the advertised exceptional craftsmanship.

Russell assured us that our piano would look like new, it was far from it. When we first saw it after it was alleged to have been complete, we raised concerns with many of the items below. We were promised multiple times they would be fixed to be perfect, instead most of the problems remained, some were made worse by what appeared to simply be “white out” blobbed on top of areas where white paint was previously missing.

From our observations, most if not all black paint was not removed (or a substantial amount was left), the wood was not prepared at all to be painted, which meant using wood filler, or sanding surfaces before paint to fill in cracks, dents, etc. Zero effort appears to have been done to sand or buff between coats of paint and many areas show less than one full paint of coat, with black paint still showing through. The painting of the cast iron frame also has a range of blemishes from a poor painting technique of the lettering, and it ultimately appears worse than it was when sent to Russell.
